About

Patients deserve equipment that works.

Clear Signal Healthcare Technology Management is the public name of Healthcare Technology Strategies, LLC, an Omaha company built on a simple idea: patients deserve equipment that works, and the people who keep it working deserve support.

Dustin Telford, AAMIF, CHTM, CBET, CRES, CLES

Dustin Telford brings 35 years of healthcare technology management experience across healthcare delivery organizations, manufacturer services, and independent service organizations. Throughout his career he has focused on patient safety, servant leadership, and HTM education, and on the advancement of HTM as a high-reliability profession.

Known to his three kids as both a “machine doctor” and simply “dad,” Dustin brings a perspective that spans from tropical fishkeeping (recently downsized from 33 tanks) to the art of making complex technical concepts accessible and engaging.

Our vision

To support the best patient care by providing access to affordable, quality, safe and reliable healthcare technology management, services and resources. We work toward it by:

  • Collaborating with everyone who uses, manages and maintains medical devices.
  • Investing in the people who serve patients, especially in HTM and the medical device industry.
  • Excelling in our own work, and recommending others who excel in theirs.
  • Developing the leaders who will carry healthcare technology management forward.
  • Respecting the value of every individual.

What we value

We look for people’s values before competence and experience, because every person has something valuable to offer.

  • Patients first. We ask first how patients are affected by our work.
  • Serve with humility. Honor others before yourself, and empower them.
  • Teamwork, always. We all do great things and we are all fallible, so we support one another.
  • Leadership is an action, not a position. Leaders are everywhere. Be the positive one.
  • Togetherness. We are strong when we trust each other and pull in the same direction.
  • Simplicity. Informal and pragmatic.
  • Ethics matter. Ethics before profit, and no grey areas.
  • Stewardship. Caring for what we have, including our planet.
  • Act frugally. More from less, without compromising patient care.
  • Refine and innovate. Polish what we do well, and do it better tomorrow.
  • Think unconventionally. “The way we have always done it” is not solving anything.
  • Have fun. Seriously.

Where we work

Hands-on work across Omaha and the region (Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and the Dakotas). Advisory work anywhere a video call reaches.

Talk it through

Bring your hardest equipment question. A first conversation is about understanding your situation, not a sales script.
